The idea
Jheelhouse is an imagined heritage haveli hotel on Lake Pichola, Udaipur. I created the brand identity and designed and built a website with a direct booking flow, to show how a small heritage hotel can look premium online and take bookings directly instead of relying only on booking platforms.

What I made
- Brand identityTwo decorated elephants facing a lotus, in navy and cream, used on cards, key tags and wax seals
- Guest websiteThe haveli, three room types, a day at the hotel, an old-city map and a celebrations enquiry form
- Direct booking flowDates and guests, prices per room and a booking that goes straight to the hotel
- Owner viewTonight's rooms, the next 14 nights, reservations and rates in one place
Why direct booking
Booking sites take a cut of every booking, often 15 to 20%. The owner view makes this easy to see: on its sample bookings, commission paid is ₹0, compared with about ₹67,000 the same bookings would cost through a booking site at 18%.
Design decisions
The homepage switches between day and night, because the lake looks completely different after dark. The words are short and specific, like forty steps down to the water and chai at seven, so a small hotel feels personal instead of generic.
This is a self-initiated concept: a brand I created to explore an idea, not work for a paying client. Photos are AI-generated for the concept.
